About

I started my professional career as a nurse and midwife, moving to Margaret River in the 1980s, where I married and had two great kids, who are now young adults.

I was mostly a stay-at-home mum while the children were young, but being lucky enough to have husband working from home, I spent several years working at Margaret River Hospital and completing a Bachelor of Nursing by distance education-all without the aid of a computer I may say!

Shift work and family life were not well suited, so I turned my attention to adult education, beginning work as a lecturer in Aged Care at Busselton TAFE in 1998. This expanded into a permanent position at Margaret River TAFE where I delivered training over 15 years in Aged care, Disability and Education Support (Teacher Assistant) I also completed a Graduate Diploma in Secondary Education and a Masters in Health Science (Education) during this time.

I currently work in the aged care industry, and am studying counselling through the Australian Institute of Professional Counselling.

I believe that developing, nurturing and sustaining relationships is the foundation for satisfaction and success in both personal and professional life. My commitment to this has led me to study an amazing personality typing system which has given me practical tools to understand myself and those around me. The Enneagram is an ancient, complex and fascinating system of 9 basic personality types, which I have found invaluable for self-development, and for cultivating compassion for the people I work, play and live with. I am delighted to share my knowledge of this system, and can use it as a tool in addition to mainstream communication training.
